Everything you need to know before your session
Choosing a photographer is personal. Here are some of the questions I’m asked most often, from where we’ll photograph your family to what happens if your baby decides not to sleep.
If there’s something I haven’t covered, I’m always happy to help.
-
I’m based in Narrabeen on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and photograph families throughout the Northern Beaches and across Sydney.
Sessions can take place in the comfort of your home, outdoors at a location that feels like you.
If you're travelling from further afield or have somewhere specific in mind, let me know when you enquire and I’ll be happy to discuss options.
-
I recommend booking as early as you can, particularly for maternity and newborn sessions.
I generally accept bookings up to six months in advance, with newborn sessions booked around your expected due date and adjusted once your baby arrives.
If you're hoping for a particular date or season, getting in touch early is always a good idea.

My photography collections begin at $650, with the option to receive the complete collection of 50–70 photographs for $1,000.
Both collections include the same relaxed, considered photography experience. The difference is simply how much of your story you choose to keep.

Wherever feels most like you.
I photograph families in their homes, at the beach, in the park or at another meaningful location around Sydney.
For outdoor sessions, we’ll choose a location that suits your family and the feeling you want from your photographs.
-
I recommend choosing clothing that feels comfortable, natural and like you, rather than dressing everyone in matching outfits.
Soft, neutral tones, natural textures and simple silhouettes tend to photograph beautifully, but there are no strict rules.
If you’d like a little more guidance, I’m always happy to help you plan what to wear before your session.

They don't need to.
Children don't need to sit still, smile on cue or behave perfectly for photographs. In fact, some of my favourite images happen when children are doing exactly what comes naturally to them.
I'll gently guide the session when needed, but there is plenty of space for movement, breaks, cuddles, snacks and all the little distractions that come with family life.
My goal is to capture your children as they really are.
-
That's completely okay.
Newborn sessions are intentionally relaxed and unhurried. We can stop for feeds, changes, cuddles and settling whenever your baby needs.
Your baby doesn't need to sleep throughout the session, and there is no pressure to make everything happen according to a schedule.
Some of the most beautiful newborn photographs are the completely unplanned moments.
-
Absolutely. I love photographing families with their pets.
Dogs and other family pets are welcome during your session, whether we're at home or outdoors. If you have a particularly energetic or excitable pet, we can simply plan the session so there is time for them to be included naturally.
-
Yes.
The Signature and Full Story collections include your immediate family and up to two sets of grandparents.
If you're planning a larger extended-family session with aunts, uncles, cousins or multiple households, please mention this when you enquire. I’m happy to create a more tailored experience for larger groups.
-
Once your session is complete, I carefully curate and edit your photographs in my signature style.
Your private online gallery will then be sent to you, where you can view and download your photographs.
If you've selected The Signature, you'll choose your 20 favourite images from your gallery. You can also choose to upgrade to The Full Story and keep the complete collection.
Your online gallery remains available for three weeks, so I recommend downloading and safely backing up your photographs during this time.
-
Simply get in touch with a little information about your family, the type of session you're looking for and your preferred timing.
I personally read every enquiry and will be in touch within two business days with availability and the next steps.
From there, we'll take care of the details together.

I'd love to hear from you.
